Day 40: Prayer Alphabet

Today’s Reading:
Day 40 / Prayer Alphabet (pages 221-226)

My ah-ha from today’s reading:

“If we change the way we pray, everything changes.”

It is as simple as that.

Prayer can change us from the inside out. God wants a prayer relationship with each one of us. When we don’t know what to say, we can ask Him for the words.

God has truly stirred my spirit – especially over these past few days. I’m praying circles around my writing, around the business dreams and around my family. I’m asking God to lead and to give me wisdom in making decisions and jumping off cliffs.

I don’t want to go anywhere or do anything that doesn’t draw me closer to Him and put me closer to my purpose.

For me, this devotional book has become like one of my favorite movies. When you love a movie, you watch it over and over. Every time you watch, you notice something that was missed before. And if you haven’t seen your favorite movie in years, you forget all kinds of parts.

But, when you watch a movie over and over – you begin to recite the lines. You picture yourself in the movie. It becomes second nature.

I want the Bible and this devotional to become like my favorite movie. I’ll be back to read again. And I’m sure there will be parts I don’t remember.

God, keep this perspective fresh in my mind. Help me start everyday with a purpose for prayer. And let me not forget that true power comes from spending time with You, every single day.

Thank you for taking this challenge with me, friends. I pray that it has changed your life for the good.

  1. What a learning time for me. Prayer had taken on a new understanding for me and the effort I put into it.
Can’t wait to see how God will use all this for His glory.
Thank you Starr, what a blessing you are.
