Day 39: Holy Ground

Today’s Reading:
Day 39 / Holy Ground (pages 215-220)

My ah-ha from today’s reading:

“You won’t believe this. God knows where I am.”

This story about the pay phone shook me in my bones tonight. It was like I’ve never read it before.

I want to live a life LIKE THAT!

I want to see God so real in my life and in the life of others around me that things like the pay phone ringing out in the middle of no where becomes an everyday thing.

I want to wake up expecting miracles.

I want to cross paths with people and know without a doubt God sent me to that place for that moment.

I want to live a life that is worthy of the calling:

“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” – Ephesians 4:1

We have all received a calling. It is up to us to start each morning by living a life worthy of that calling.

We make the choice. Is prayer and time with God a priority? Am I willing to live a life worthy of seeing these miracles every day?

These miracles weren’t just for Bible times. These miracles aren’t just for someone else. These miracles aren’t just for pastors and Bible scholars.

These miracles are for you and for me. And you never know when a pay phone will be ringing for you to answer.
