Day 37: Prayer Contracts

Today’s Reading:
Day 37 / Prayer Contracts (pages 204-208)

My ah-ha from today’s reading:

“It’s not about what we’re doing at all, it’s about who we’re becoming in the process.”

Who, not what.

Are we becoming more like Christ?

Or are we focused on the “what” of life?

The process is where we learn some of life’s greatest lessons – in the midst of the heartache, in the trials and suffering. Those instances shape WHO we are.

And that is truly what it is all about.

“It’s not about doing great things for God; it’s about God doing great things in us.”

Do you believe God wants to do great things in you? It’s true. No matter your background, no matter your weaknesses. He is still doing great things.

This time together is a covenant with God himself – to relaunch our lives with a fresh anointing. Lord, fill us. Use us. Let Your Spirit overflow into those around us that need to see Your light. Amen.

  1. The first quote you picked out was the same one that tugged at my heart. Most of the time when we set goals our only objective is to hit that goal, no matter what. Is the process of reaching that goal making you a better person or pulling you away from God.

  2. Or what’s in it for me? I am at point that I pray the process brings me closer to Him and that He will shine through me, that His light will draw others to Himself
