Day 28: Quit Praying

Today’s Reading:
Day 28 / Quit Praying (pages 155-159)

My ah-ha from today’s reading:

“God isn’t honored by prayers that are within the realm of human possibility; God is honored when we ask Him to do what is humanly impossible. That way, God gets all the glory!”

Yes, you read that topic correct. Sometimes we need to stop praying and take ACTION!

I can imagine that God gets pretty tired of hearing me whine and complain about certain topics in my prayer time. And certain things, He’s given me answers on. I just have to step out in faith, stop making excuses and DO IT!

Certainly easier said than done.

But I do believe we make time for the things we truly want. We’ll always be too busy. We’ll always find a reason why we can’t, or why we shouldn’t.

For example – I’ve been praying a lot for our 4 year old daughter’s tantrums. God has given me answers related to getting into the Bible and teaching and living those scriptures every single day – not just me, but our entire family. Yet, I’m afraid that life gets busy and more days than not, we bypass family Bible time and hurry to bed.

It’s time to put some action behind those prayers. It’s time to take back our family and get into the Word!

I’m determined. How about you?

  1. Today went with the fasting for me, sometimes you need to fast to get that answer, and yes- sometimes get off your behind and just MOVE!! I think I might need to read this two times to make sure it sticks!! Action honors God.
