Day 24: Find Your Voice

Today’s Reading:
Day 24 / Find Your Voice (pages 134-138)

My ah-ha from today’s reading:

“God wants to speak through you differently than through anyone else. Your life is a unique translation of Scripture. It doesn’t matter what you do – politician, preacher, entertainer, homemaker, teacher, musician, lawyer or doctor. You are called to be a prophetic voice to the people God places in your life.”

A lady in our church choir works in a dentist office. She shared a story several weeks ago about how a patient told her thank you recently. Jan had been humming worship songs as she went about her job and the patient wanted her to know how calming that was to her and that she made a difference.

This may seem like a small example, but God places each of us in situations just like this every single day to help and serve others.

And I love what the next line says from today’s devotional:

“But the key to discovering your prophetic voice is cultivating a prophetic ear. If you want to find your voice, you need to hear the voice of God.”

Are we listening?

God wants to speak to each one of us. He wants our lives to change the world. He wants us to impact others for His Kingdom.

All we have to do is show up and listen every day.

That’s my goal – show up. Listen. Circle. Repeat.
