Today’s Reading:
Day 3 / Amazing Things (pages 26-31)
My ah-ha from today’s reading:
THIS SECTION JUMPED RIGHT OFF THE PAGE FOR ME!!
“The Israelites were camped on the eastern banks of the Jordan River when God gave them this command: “Consecrate yourselves.” And because they obeyed, God delivered on the promise. He parted the Jordan River, and the Israelites walked through on dry ground. We’d rather build a boat or build a bridge. We try to do things for God instead of letting God do things for us.”
This is so true! Heyyyy y’all…Let’s build a bridge. Let’s build a boat!! Let’s help God do His job!!
While all along, God is planning a mighty miracle in our lives.
Consecrate = to set apart = to be designated for a special purpose = to be completely dedicated to God.
“Consecration means we no longer call the shots.”
“Consecration is death to self.”
“Consecration is a process of surrender that never ends. And prayer is the catalyst.”
Lord, I want to learn consecration. I want to learn the process of surrendering everything I have and everything I am – to You. Don’t let my natural tendencies to take control get in the way of your miracles. Help me see You. Help me surrender to You. Help me to do amazing things all because of You. Teach me Your ways – that I may walk with You.
How about you? What stood out the most from your reading? What is God nudging in your heart during this challenge? What can we help you pray about? I’d love to specifically jot down what you’re circling and help you pray!

Page 26….”our job is to consecrate ourselves by yielding our will to His will.” I want to trust Him more and get out of His way. My circle is my job, to get through the next 3 months and then to be successful in my new role and get the balance I need for me and my family.

Freida I was just praying for your job 🙂
Page 27, we need to work like it depends on us, but pray like it depends on God. It’s letting God do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. And that’s how God gets all the glory.
God has been urging me to want more Him, pray more. Quit letting life get in the way. No matter where I am, be obedient.
