Love Does 31 – LAST DAY!

Sunday, May 31
Chapter 31: Two Bunk John
(pg 206)

Quote of the Day:

“When you decide to drop everything that’s typical, all that is left is just a big idea about an even bigger God and a world that’s worn out from the way everyone else has been doing it. The world has been shouting over the noise of our programs that it doesn’t need more presidents or organizations, what it needs are more friends. If you are a sincere friend, folks around you will quickly understand that there’s no hidden agenda and nothing on the other side of the equals sign – just you.” – Love Does by Bob Goff, pg 208

Scripture Reference:

Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Putting Love into Action:

Be a sincere friend. Let someone know that there’s no hidden agenda, nothing on the other side of the equals sign – but you.

Question/Discussion:

It’s the last day of our study! What a great ending and inspirational story about what God can do with one willing person who says, “I’ll go!” Do you have any final comments to share with our group?

Note: Make sure you read the Epilogue – it shares what happened to some of the people Bob mentioned in his stories!

Thank you so much for reading along – your stories and comments have inspired and challenged me! I hope you have enjoyed this study as much as I have. The study blog will be here if you ever want to come back and catch up on anything you missed. 🙂

  1. Starr, thank you for leading this study! I’ve enjoyed the book and the comments. There are certain situations that I will look at differently after reading the inspiring stories. I can only hope to have some unique chances to show God!

  2. I have also enjoyed this study. I will definitely try to remember palms up when something makes me angry. I’ll even teach this to my kids, especially my 10 year old. 😊

Thanks Starr for allowing God to use you and being obedient to his calling for you.
