Daily Interrupted Challenge
S L O W it D O W N!
Are y’all feeling the effects of this crazy holiday season yet? I am. Whewwwwww. We can’t forsake the time to sit and meet with our Savior. If we give this up, our attitudes are crappy, our tempers are short and we lose sight of the opportunities that God is placing in front of us. Do this today. Slow down for a bit. The busyness can wait.
Day 47: Changelings
Words of wisdom from Paul:
To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. – 1 Corinthians 9:20
And I truly LOVE this entire paragraph. Every. Single. Word.
If we’re going to win people, then let’s win people. We do whatever it takes – within the boundaries of law and neutral practices without moral significance – to attract people to the glorious mercy of Jesus. When love regulates our liberty, we create a context to share the gospel and have it actually received. If people are offended by God Himself, by His authority, His Word, His Son, His history, there is less we can do about that. They will ultimately have to wrestle with Him. But if they are offended by our representation of God, then we’ll answer for our arrogance. We can help that, and we had better do it. (Interrupted pg 222)
Yes, let’s win people!
That is what it’s all about, right?
And it doesn’t just happen in church….

I want to have a boldness to ask my friends the raw truth, to ask them about their relationship with Jesus Christ. I fear too many are losing sight of the path that God is showing us.

Yes, I’m asking God for a boldness like I have never had and to open my eyes to see what I should do and what I can say to make a difference in someone’s life.
