Think about a time when someone went out of their way to show the love of Jesus in your life. Write down the experience and how it made you feel.
We can see how many times God has been faithful in our own lives through using others as a vessel of His love. What stood out to you about these situations? What can we learn from these times and how can we become that person for others?
Day 29: THE BOOTS [Read this Chapter]
Today’s chapter is one that sticks out in my mind very clearly. Jen shares about the night that everything changed for them. It was Easter and they went to visit a small church with a guest speaker.
God specifically used that night to teach them both about what He had ahead for them.
This story makes me think about how God orchestrates every single detail of our lives. We just have to show up as a willing soul that wants to impact the kingdom of heaven, He takes care of the rest.
We may not understand exactly what He is doing or where He is leading us. It may be lonely and awkward and keep us up at night. But know this, He has a plan for the mess of our lives.
I don’t know what you’re struggling with today, but I’m lifting up every single one of you in prayer. I’m asking God to raise a mighty army, start a revival in each of us.
One day, we will look back at our own lives and point to the day everything changed. We will have our own story – our own boots to lay at the altar. I want to do whatever He calls me to do and go wherever He calls me to go. How about you?
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. [Ephesians 3: 14-21]
