Today we read the part most people skip over in books – the Acknowledgments! I think it is neat to see who the author thanks and acknowledges for making this book possible.
We only have 2 pages to read today, so why not spend some time doing something a little different?
Philippians 1: 3 I thank my God every time I remember you.
What if we all take a few extra moments and tell someone, “thank you?”
Here’s the challenge: thank someone today.
> Pick up the phone and call an old friend to thank them for their friendship
> Write a handwritten note to someone that’s made a difference in your life lately
Who’s with me?
Thank you all for being crazy enough to embark on another study with me. I’m excited about this journey together and I can’t wait to see what God shows each of us in the coming weeks.
Happy Monday!

So I am replying early (well you posted it on Day 1… 😉 ).
Not just the old friend (or new friend) – don’t forget to thank the “every day” people around you – The bored cashier at Chick-Fil-A (or Bojangles) – sincerely thank them and smile. The person that lets you pass them on the road (or lets you out of the parking lot) – acknowledge them with a nod and a smile. 🙂
But yes, definitely acknowledge the old friends – And for some of them, I can do that here – To my Living Praise family, I do thank each of you for your friendship. I love and miss you all…

Note to self- it’s harder to thank someone when you’re aggravated with them… But still you gotta do it 🙂

Ok, I thought I was a day behind when I first started reading this! I will be sure to thank someone tomorrow for something that is out of the ordinary! I personally don’t thank people often enough, I take so many family members and friends for granted! I’ll let you know what it ends up being. I also love reading the acknowledgements, it’t tells you a little more about the author and Helios you to realize how many people are needed to write the book.

Amen, Joanie! I used to write 5 things of gratitude everyday. I want to get back into the habit of doing that more and telling people thank you!

I am thankful for a boss who stepped out raw and asked for forgiveness. She let us down. She allowing her boss to help her improve. Prayers are being answered. I am seeing God work. We also had a hand blessing service. This was powerful! God was moving at oir office! Thankful for my job.
Thankful for my friend Starr taking me on these journeys with her!
