Watchful and Thankful

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Colossians 4:2

This verse from Day 11 is where we learned about the watchmen of the Old Testament.

We learned about how they had the best vantage point, saw things no one else saw, etc.

And this is what happens when we pray. We become God’s watchmen.

I want that. I want to continue to see things before others see them. I want to be found faithful in my prayers so that I am attentive to what God is showing me everyday.

Prayer for today:
Lord, help me to continue my daily appointments with You. Give me energy to rise early and spend those precious quiet moments in Your presence. Help me to remember that prayer changes everything. Make me your watchman. Give me Your eyes, Your ears, Your heart, Your boldness – to speak life, truth and hope into those around me. Guide every conversation that I have today. Don’t let me fall back to thinking it is all about me, me, me. Let it all be about You and for You.

Amen!

  1. Yes! Yes! Help me be faithful in my appointments and pray! I want to spend all the moments I can seeking God and what his path is. I want to see him in everything. I want to see things that others do not see. Amen!
